This was a new water treatment facility on a greenfield site, with a value of £46M. It comprised a raw water pumping station from the river trent, 5km of raw water pipeline, a raw water storage reservoir and a water treatment facility with final pumping station. It also included works to tie in to the existing water treatment works, already running and providing water to the City of Lincoln.
I was sole planner on this contract and my responsibilities were as follows...
Prepare the tender programme for the Amp 5 clean water projects.
Helped prepare Civil & M&E design programme.
Prepare and maintain the design, construction and commissioning schedule for the project, across all disciplines.
Implement resource / cost loaded programmes to facilitate Earned Value Analysis
Update the schedules fortnightly and produce client and project manager reports
Communicate with the project teams, regarding progress, scheduling and resourcing.
Prepare Monthly Board and Client reports, forecasting progress and out turn costs by employing Earned Value techniques.
Prepare Earned Value analysis reports.
Liaise with various subcontract companies, regarding monitoring of progress and resourcing levels.
Acquire and interrogate subcontractors schedule programs, incorporating the data into the construction program and confirming feasibility or highlighting potential problems.
Prepare Tender Programmes for potential future projects, on behalf of Galliford Try.
